Oh, snap... you just got waggled, T!!! LMAO!!

I'm a bit fuzzy on the shortage myself, mostly because I haven't investigated other than your Wall mention of it. Me not being able to translate doesn't help either.... anywho, is it just regular corned beef like a brisket, or does that include potted meat products? Heaven forbid it actually does, then we might find a shortage of SPAM out there!! NOOOO!!!!!!!

Seeing as how this thread has been dead for a few months I guess there's no harm in continuing the corned beef issue.

it's actually the potted kind, the Media seems to attribute it to the bad economy because is really cheap to make a quick hash with some white rice. they say the stores are all bought out. Where as there seems to be no limit to the Spam supply, weird

I'm not surprised that SPAM is still around. It's bountiful, grows on trees in everywhere from arctic to tropical climates, and contains all-natural ingredients that preserve it for a very long time. It's like the Twinkie of the meat world, and you know Twinkies are always abundant! In fact, there's only one place where it is actually hard to find a Twinkie. Know where that is?

    Yup. Zombieland.

spam-yuck. my boss is an avid hunter, goes to wyoming every year. he says his favorite way to eat spam is to put it on radiator on the way to his spot-that way he has a hot meal, lol.

Spam is a pseudo-acronym, coming from the term Shoulder Pork Ham

Prior to WWII, it was a throw-away portion of the pig in the ham industry. During the food shortages associated with the war effort, Libby's commerciallized a centrifuge process to remove the excess bone and cartilege from the meat. They actually didn't expect to keep the process going after the war ended, but it is so cheap to make and for some reason people still buy it (i.e. the entire state of Hawaii).

I'm just really glad that we're not having a shortage of pizza rolls.

    That is all.
