so bought some ground bison to try. browned it in a skillet, added some brown long grain wild rice and peas. wasn't bad, but had a distinct different taste to it which i'm not sure i liked yet. got the old Texas Pete hot sauce out and jazzed it up... anyone else tried bison? a good lean source of protein, i guess same idea as venison...
Haven't tried anything strange actually, I stick with the cows and pigs and chickens But if your into strange/really strange food, you would really, truly love my local store here. The really have all kinds of animal you can eat. In my head kinda sick, some I understand, but some I don't ... I mean , who the fuck eats snake, bear, zebra??
Lmao! I don't know there must be some weird people in sweden, can't say iv ever tried anything out of ordinary, well I know that I deffinately haven't.
wow, that store looks quite interseting. i'll try anything just about once.. is that a black crow in the one pic? let's throw that in a pot and cook er' up! kawww! k-kawww!
ROFL KIM!!!! It totally the opposite, I can't ever imagine to something freaky (freaky in my eyes) into my mouth.... like schrimps... it's insects for crying out loud!! Stay at eating pigs, cows and chicks, that builds muscles! anything else is just pure katabolic hahahahahaha
What about lamb? Duck? Turkey? Those arn't out of the ordinary . Crispy duck is very very tasty, not sure its too good for you but i love it.
well.... lambs are to cute to eat, its like eating cats imo rofl. duck ? you cant eat ducks, they belong in the pond and turkey, well I can eat turkey, but its nothing that happens that often, and they are so dan ugly too.. you need to consider that as well. Sight is of our senses too. If it smells bad, dont eat it. If it tastes bad, dont eat it. If looks bad, dont eat it.
Kim, look in the ground beef section, Tim posted a recipe for me WAY back in the day that I make for a Buffalo stew. Very tasty.
i like bison in stuffed peppers, i find the combined flavors sets it off really good! i love eating all kinds of animals but thats just me
well, i do like stuffed green peppers... so i think this would taste good... some choppd onion, little seasoning...
Bison is ok. It's a little flat compared to beef or buffalo. My favorite cut still has to be venison - smells terrible, tastes amazing.
Love the bison, but it is harder to get here in the Midwest. I'm a huge fan of ground turkey. A little grill seasoning in it and it's great. Also have a surprisingly great recipe for a pizza (made on those low carb sandwich flatbreads) that is mighty tasty and still really clean.
