I thought I'd throw a quick self intro out there. I was huge into fitness and lifting before being diagnosed with stage 3 thyroid cancer 14 years ago. The treatment was removing my thyroid and getting high doses of radioactive iodine. I was so radioactive that they put me in a corner hospital room with lead shields surrounding the walls for 3 days...not too long after the Simpson's episode about Radioactive Man. Anyway, the name has stuck. The good news is that I've been cancer free for 12 years. I got back into the gym and out on the road running a lot before tearing my Achilles tendon about 5 years ago. I'm back in the gym but gave up running.

I have tried several supplements over the years and have never had anything close to SX (SFX is 2nd best).

Hi, again, Radioactiveman! Glad to have you on the board! Both glad and sad to hear about your cancer! But way to go with fighting it off bro! Also awesome to hear that you still keep hitting the gym!

Big welcome to the forum, man!!! Glad to have you here. If there's anything you need, just ask.

On a personal note, my sister has had problems with her thyroid - hypothyroidism runs in my dad's side of the family, and she got it. At 29, just a few months ago, she had it killed with iodine. It wasn't as severe as yours, but I did get to witness some of the affects that an overactive thyroid has, and will soon see what becomes of her with no function. (Silly me takes after mom's side...the diabetic side...d'oh!! But not yet, for me!!!)

All our best. Stay strong, live life, and be happy!! :D

Welcome to the forum, it is good to have you here.

Sorry to hear about the issues, but you are a bigger man for being able to overcome them. I look forward to seeing your training logs, and seeing what you do now for training.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I will begin posting more about my training especially as I get it more organized. I travel a lot for work and have been in disarray.
