Kruz, can you clear something up for me? What the hell is a "stone" in terms of weight measurement equal to in pounds?!? We keep seeing the word "stone" used in the World's Strongest Man competition, but I can never catch the very beginning when they let us American rejects know what a "stone" actually is!! Much obliged if you can tell me!!
Dude! Thanks so much for that explanation! Now I can feel like a genius. Now, to just figure out the dollar to euro configuration. Oh, well...have to ask the German dude for that one!! Keep it rockin, Kruz!!
Just a little update. Switched my training and now using a power/rep range/shock routine. mon/pull wed/push fri/legs. have been whole body training for a while now so it feels good to be on a split again, even though previously training a split has been the least productive way to train for me!
Sounding good, Kruz. Remember that your body gets used to specific training after a time. In order to continue growing, you have to throw things up in the air a bit, mix them all up, and shock yourself into continued success!! I try to mix up every 6 weeks (total routine), but often mix different exercises from my 'arsenal' every single time I go in!! Good luck, buddy!
Just had to quit my leg workout due to knee pain. looks like i'm going to have to lay off my legs for a bit!
No worries, Kruz. Ice it up, take it easy, and go like hell whenever you can. We break so that we can rebuild ourselves stronger! When are you wrapping things up? Eager to see what you've done! Best o' luck!
Make the most of it man. Take this extra time while we get fat eating junk. Be careful with the leg though. Better to rest it if need be. Missing legs for a week or so is not the end of the world and it probably wont affect your results for the comp too much. I'm all for busting your ass in the gym but think of it this way, in a years time what will you regret the most- missing a week or so on your legs or totally messing up your knee as you didnt want time off? (Insert Jeopardy think music)
Exactly! I'd rather be a few pounds lighter for a while than a few heavier and not be able to walk when i'm older!
chances are you'd be a hell of a lot lighter from not being able to train your legs for a looong time
Good news! my knees are feeling fine! Did some deadlifts on monday and all is well. Here are my end of contest pics. All in all I didn't acheive what I wanted but I have done ok considering my new job and the fact that my wife and I have just bought our first house( moving in soon!). I have lost about 3% bodyfat while my total weight has only dropped from 148 to 146lb. Maths isn't my strong point but i'm sure there is someone who can tell me what i've lost/gained!? Nice work man. From the pictures, your waist looks a little tighter and to me it seems like you've lost a little in your face as well. Awesome work and congrats on being one of the few survivors to the end!
