Thanks, man. I'm about to take the plunge and purchase a membership for USA Powerlifting. They have a meet in May next year that's not too far from where I live. It's making me very hungry for strength and hugeness.

That would be an awesome motivator! Nothing like setting a goal out there and working like nobodys business to achieve it.

I'm getting excited for you at just the idea of it. lol!

Ultra Reps Workout Routine, Week Two, Workout #6

Pretty good workout tonight. Only did a few exercises, was getting dark in the barn and I forgot to bring my lantern out there. Plus, I gotta clean the house. My bff (holy crap, I can't believe I'm using that term, lol) is visiting this weekend from far away (from Florida to the northeast). This house is a frickin' mess!

    Incline BB Press: 10x175, 9x175, 8x175, 8x175 R/P 3 reps, R/P 2 reps

    DB Row (done with ez curl bar): 12x50, 12x60, 12x60, 10x70 R/P 4 reps, R/P 3 reps

    Low Rep Squats:
    Week 4 - 4x350, Week 12 - 4x365

    High Rep Bench Press:
    Week 1 - 15x185, Week 9 - 13x225

    Low Rep Bench Press:
    Week 4 - 5x275, Week 12 - 5x290

    High Rep Deadlift:
    Week 1 - 13x365, Week 9 - 14x380

    Low Rep Deadlift:
    Week 4 - 5x455, Week 12 - 5x485

I think it was a success.

Yes sir! I'm now 10 weeks out from my first powerlifting meet. Things are going well, I'm on track to break my previous PR's, as long as I keep stuffing my face with about 5,000 calories a day and stay injury free. The only thing I'm having a hard time with is deciding on a weight class. I weigh 205 now and I'm pretty much set on competing in the 220 class. BUT, I would probably do better if I cut to 198.

It's kind of a mental thing for me, because I've always wanted to get as huge as I can, so the idea of actually cutting weight doesn't agree with my mindset. I think what I'll do is just do the 220 class for my first meet and go from there.

    Some good lifts recently were:

Squat: 7x355 (I hate squats and pretty much suck at 'em, but I'm trying)
Bench Press: 8x280 I kinda suck at this, too
    Deadlift: 10x450

Squats today. I felt weird, kind of nauseated. Also, to make a long story short, I walked 4 miles to my house at 10 this morning. Figures it had to be on squat day. Still had a good workout, just short 'cause I felt kinda sick. I feel better now.

Squat: 6x370, 5x370 I may not have gone as low as usual on that first set
Close stance squat, bar high on back: 10x255, 10x265
    Standing BB Curl: 7x140
    Decline Sit-ups: 32xBW

So, the powerlifting meet I was planning on doing on May 19th was cancelled. I'm glad I called the promoter ahead of time. There's one on April 28th about the same distance away. I guess I'm gonna do that one. It cuts my prep time short 3 weeks, but oh well. I'd rather do that than wait until June 30th for another one that's close to me.

    Some highlights from last week:
    Flat Bench: 5.5x305
    Deadlift: 6x505, 4x515

6x505 Deadlift Video (sorry I'm wearing a Universal shirt)

Less than 3 weeks to until the powerlifting meet I'm doing. Recent lifts include:

    Squat: 2x415, previous 1RM was 405
    Bench Press: 3x330
    Deadlift: 2x550, 1x560, previous 1RM was 545

    550 for 2 deadlift:

560 for 1 deadlift, afterward talking about having one more deadlift workout before the meet:

After the meet, I'll be easing off a bit and I might decide to try and do a little cut. If I do, I think I may use some Stimulant X.
