Starting Over Again

I used to use the AX products back in 2007 started off with Superdrol (the most amazing muscle/strength producing product I've ever had) I was already relatively strong but after a 2 week cycle, my 225lb bench for reps went from 5 to 14 (ended up at 20) and gained 15lbs of lean muscle. Never had anything like that .

After wanting to lean out, I tried another AX product Stimulant X, I dropped 25lbs over the course of 3 weeks, it allowed for extreme focus, appetite suppression and energy. It was as advertised. Right now I haven't trained in a couple of years, put on a few pounds (about 25) and I'm going to start training again, and I already ordered my bottle of the new Stimulant X and I hope I get the same results. From what I've read on the forums it seems that there have been some solid results.
I will post some results when I finally get my bottle.

    Wish me luck!

Nice to hear that you're about to start lifting again! Stimulant X is a great product, but if its just fat loss and appetite suppression you want I think you should go with Slim FX... Not saying that Stimulant X won't do you good, just that I see it as a milder fat burner and more of a mood / energy booster. Slim FX on the other hand has awesome appetite suppression and clean energy!

    Welcome back to the game!
The product should work great for you, but just be sure your diet and training are in place prior to busting that product seal.
Do you have any questions on diet and/or training? It seems that you gained decent strength and dieted well on your own, but if you have any questions please ask.

Thanks to everyone for the positive reception. @small fry. I am going to go with what's worked for me in the past
simple superset method. Today chest 6 different exercises. 3 exercises 4 sets BTW 10 to 12 reps
No rest after that 2 minutes rest finish the final 3 exercises same method, 25 min of cardio blast the ABS
Done within the hour. I've done this in the past when I wanted to cut my we
ight and fat and its worked great.

@Eizbear thank you so much for the information regarding Slim FX I will give that a go as well. I was so familiar with stim x figured it

would be a nice place to start.

@bnatural thanks for the reminder sometimes it is easy to
get into the mode where we forget that training, rest and proper nutrition are just as important as the products we use. My diet has always been simple, low fat complex carbs and protein. And always a protein supplement. Typically I cut my caloric intake in half when I want to start dropping weight. So that's been the daily routine now for a few days. The stimulant x comes today so lets see how it works.

@emmekajoka I know the 25 lbs in three weeks sounds ridiculous! But it is so true, I had focus like you wouldn't believe had to force myself to eat and before I knew it I was super lean and extremely vascular as oppossed to the thick muscular look I had. Both worked well but for me getting up in age 34, need to kickstart my metabolism and keep it going.

i wouldn't cut it so drastically, especially if adding fat burners or even some stimulants.
cut out a portion (depending on your normal caloric intake) and slowly reduce from there.
otherwise you are likely to plateau faster and lose muscle at a decent rate.

Glad to see you on the forum and great progress in everything you demanded from you mind and body.

Looking forward to see what you plan for Slim FX!

I agree with Bnat. Going to fast with the diet often results in a U-turn.. Better to start slow and let the transformation start from there... Chancing your diet to drastically can be too much for your body and mind..

Back in the day I wrestled and that sounds like my weight loss plan back then. You can do it if you're mentally tough and keep the right nutritional balance. However, it is not the best method to get to a maintenance weight and stay there. Of course I am speaking from experience from the bad side of it as my weight yo-yo's from 210 to 190 and back. I am now 41 and the metabolism needs a big kick start and cutting calories has the opposite effect. I started on Slim FX and lost 5 pounds in a couple weeks without changing my routine. I'm going to take a couple weeks off and start in January on Slim FX and Stim X and report the results here if you are interested.

Sounds good.. New year, new plan...

I'm still struggling between the "should I get slimmer" or "should I get bigger" .... I HATE THAT!! I can't make up my mind.. Which makes me stuck in the middle and it ain't good! :(
  12. Radioactiveman AX Member

I have the same struggles but the older I get the more I want it to be slimmer...and then I take my 8 year old to one of his wrestling tournaments and I'm ready to get big again! LOL

If I'm at 190 pounds and lifting heavy, I look good. Right now I'm around 205 without lifting and look fat (because I am). We'll see how it goes in January. I plan to cut to 190 with some weight training, then maintain my weight as I begin lifting heavy.

be sure not to get too depleted. your body goes through some heavy abuse during dieting.
your cns generally becomes drained from all of the diet reductions along with the increase in workload.
your immune system also takes a hit.
i'd start the heavy lifting now and incorporate some supersets, you can help burn more calories that way.

I appreciate the advice...I pick up things here and there but haven't done any serious research. I will definitely superset and mix in cardio. I found that to be my best weight loss combination. I'll have to throw in some heavy days.

some studies have found that working agonist/antagonist muscles in a superset make the second/antagonist muscles slightly stronger for that set.

so, do bench follow it with a bb row, and you'll be slightly stronger in the second lift.
so, i go a little heavier when doing this, but not by much.
i usually aim for 4-6 reps in the first exercise and 6-8 in the second exercise.
